You can be a part of a regional landscape solution to create a state-wide pollinator haven in Colorado! By converting your backyard to pollinator safe habitat, you are joining others who are doing the same and changing Colorado for the better, one garden at a time. Please fill out the pledge form below and a PPAN officer will be in contact with you soon.
Take the Pollinator Safe Neighborhood Pledge
As pollinators are endangered by the use of neonicotinoids and other harmful chemicals in the environment (discover more about neonicotinoids here), and I am aware of these dangers, I pledge to help reduce the amount of these poisons in the environment by adhering to the level or levels of care described below.
Level 3: Pollinator Protector (Best!): I will not use any poisonous chemicals outdoors AND I will plant and raise plants that provide the pollen and nectar that bees and other pollinators need.
Level 2: Organic (Better): I will not use any poisonous chemicals or products outdoors.
Level 1: Neonic-Free ( PPAN Standard): I will not use neonicotinoids or other poisons that show up in the pollen and nectar of flowering plants, and I will not use or buy soils, seeds, or plants that have been treated with neonicotinoids or other poisons that show up in the pollen and nectar of flowering plants.
PPAN will only be successful with the involvement of everyone who cares about human and pollinator health. We are an all volunteer organization working to counter the massive amount of money and power that the pesticide industry has. There IS power in speaking out as a community. While we all know that pests can be harmful to our health, so can the chemicals that have been developed to get rid of them. Somehow, we need to find the right balance and learn to find alternatives to harmful chemicals. So, get involved today: Volunteer, donate, sign up for action alerts and continue to learn all that you can!
